Education is possibly the single most important thing to the progression of human civilization. I have always enjoyed teaching and now that I have a platform and skills to teach I have decided to begin work on “FutureScape Courseware”. This currently consists of a set of two seperate courses. One will be available for a small fee and will teach product design from the unique systems philosophy that FutureScape uses. This course will be developed in collaboration with a decade-old product design firm, who inspired FutureScape’s entire approach. The second course will be available for free on our YouTube Channel (also a work in progress), and will be developed specifically as a course to help coaches involved in “For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology” (FIRST) Lego League (see: https://www.firstlegoleague.org/). It will be developed as a comprehensive guide for coaches on FIRST Lego League (FLL), based upon a custom designed curriculum. Former and current coaches, former and current FIRST students, a professor of education, and FutureScape will be collaboratively creating this course in order to deliver high quality and useful content for any teacher, parent, etc. who wants to coach but doesn’t necessarily have a background in robotics, science, FIRST, etc. Look forward to seeing these launch in the next few months.
